I’m not stuck in my emotions, I'm making space for what comes up.
If I had known that as a kid, I would have been less anxious. I wouldn't have learned to work so hard, so young. I wouldn't have grown up believing that getting overwhelmed was a bad thing.
I created this enamel pin as a reminder for myself that my emotions make sense. They've always made sense, even when I was criticized for it as a kid.
My emotions are here to tell me when my boundaries have been crossed.
When my inner world is shaken.
When my grief swallows me whole.
When safety feels unfamiliar but it's good for me.
